Ecosystem rewards

Rewards

Weekly reward epochs for verified plant-care contribution — not deployed yet.

Rewards program not deployed yet. The mechanism below is approved for V1 implementation, but no reward epoch has ever run on any Solana cluster. There is nothing to claim right now.

Where this stands

Mechanism

APPROVED FOR IMPLEMENTATION

Cadence, claim window, per-claimant cap and contributor-class split are decided for V1.

Deployment

No epoch, Merkle root or claim has ever been published on localnet, devnet or mainnet-beta.

How it will work

Mechanics

Epoch cadence

One epoch per calendar week, opening ISO weekday 1 at 00:00:00 UTC and closing ISO weekday 7 at 23:59:59 UTC.

Claim window

Once an epoch's reward root is published, claims stay open for 90 days.

Per-claimant cap

No single wallet may receive more than 1% of one epoch's total reward budget.

Multiple wallets

Splitting contribution across several wallets on the same profile does not raise this cap — see multi-wallet identity.

Budget split

Contributor classes

CGW rewards budget split by contributor class
ClassShare of epoch budgetDescription
Everyday contributors60%Ordinary verified plant-care contributions: identifications, care logs, corrections.

Policy

What happens to unclaimed rewards

Unclaimed after the window closes

Claims close permanently 90 days after an epoch's root is published. Unclaimed CGW from that epoch remains in the Ecosystem Rewards Vault — it is not rolled into the next epoch, redirected to the team or treasury, or burned. The unclaimed amount is recorded and reported publicly.

Budget a class doesn't fully use

Any reward-class budget an epoch does not fully allocate stays undistributed for that epoch; it is never automatically moved to another class. After the 120-month ecosystem-rewards emission schedule completes, no new V1 reward epochs may consume CGW outside that approved schedule.

Once an epoch is live, claiming happens at /claim. Figures above come directly from @cgw/token-spec — see Transparency for live on-chain state once something is deployed.
